What is the difference between refined and crude sunflower oil?

Crude oil is unrefined and is usually bought by refiners and industrial processors. Refined oil has been processed for a neutral taste, light colour and longer shelf life, ready for cooking and food manufacturing.

How is sunflower oil packed?

In flexitanks for bulk buyers, or in drums, jerrycans and retail PET bottles for distributors who need ready-to-sell packaging.

What documents come with an oil shipment?

To be straight about origin: Thailand doesn’t grow much sunflower. Our sunflower oil for sale is processed in Thailand from imported seed oil, mostly from the Black Sea region and Argentina, and refined to the same standard buyers expect anywhere. That’s normal for this trade, and we’d rather you hear it from us.

Each batch is lab tested and comes with a certificate of analysis. The international food standard for named vegetable oils is set by the Codex Alimentarius, and our specs are in line with it.

Packing: Bulk or Bottles

Packing changes the price of sunflower oil for sale more than anything else. Bulk oil in a flexitank is the cheapest per ton. A flexitank in a 20ft container holds about 20 to 22 metric tons. Drums and 20L jerry cans cost more. Bottled oil in 1L, 2L or 5L PET bottles costs the most per ton, because you’re paying for the bottle, cap, label and carton.

How Prices Work

Around mid-2026, bulk refined sunflower oil was trading roughly $1,100 to $1,250 per metric ton FOB. Prices move with the Black Sea seed harvest, the price of palm and soybean oil, freight rates and the dollar. If you see sunflower oil for sale far below that range, ask hard questions. It’s usually lower grade, old stock, or an offer that never ships.
